Course Series Description
This course builds foundational coaching skills for leaders who want to develop and empower their teams. Participants explore when and how to coach, the mindset of a coach, and practical techniques to structure impactful coaching conversations. Through applied practice and frameworks, leaders build confidence to use coaching as a day-to-day leadership tool that drives both performance and growth.

Course Outline
In this module, participants are introduced to the power of coaching as a leadership tool and discuss the differences between performance and developmental conversations. They identify the conditions for successful coaching, including how trust, psychological safety, and a growth mindset are the bedrock of productive coaching conversations.
In this module, participants are learning the foundational skills for effective coaching conversations and use a concise framework for coaching conversations that to engage, empower, and inspire forward action. Then, it’s all put into practice. Participants coach one another and receive real-time feedback.

Assessment Method
The assessment of a participant’s progress will be a combination of preparation assignments, classroom participation, and review of concepts during in-class activities as well as follow-up meetings with managers and peers to discuss examples of successful use of the tools provided in this course.
